Lerentee McCray is a linebacker with the NFL’s Jacksonsville Jaguars.

In January of 2022, according to Fruitland Park police, McCray was speeding 88 mph in a 50 mph zone.

When police attempted to stop McCray and cite him for speeding McCray refuse to stop.

McCray also gave the pursuing officers his middle finger.

Police chased McCray at speeds of 100 mph in places.

Because the chase was so dangerous, police discontinued their pursuit rather than risk death or injury to themselves, McCray or others.

McCray found out that no one beats the radio as he was subsequently stopped by Tavares police officers responding to the Be On the Lookout (BOLO) for his vehicle.

After being stopped, Police became concerned about McCray’s mental state and took him to a nearby hospital for evaluation.

McCray denied flipping the officers off instead indicating that it was a motion for the officers to follow him.

McCray was charged for eluding police.

McCray has been in the NFL since 2014 and will be a free agent.
